Diamond, Oceanic Banks Battle For Teen Idols

 Diamond Express has been announced the official supporter of Teen Idols. In case you don’t know what Teen Idols entails, Star track can authoritatively reveal to you for free that it is an entertainment competition that engages the youths between 13-21 in dancing, modeling, singing, etc. it is a competition that will take place for just 2 days at Planet One, Meryland, Ikeja this month. The judges will select the winners from each area: Singing, Dancing, Modeling respectively. Information revealed by the organizers during the press briefing at Excellence Hotel, Ogba that any winner selected will go home with huge amount of money. Not only that, he or she will be managed for undisclosed period until the winner is famous in order to get to the top level on his profession. Shola Muse, the C E O Zwart Events noted who is a consultant on the programme added that this is a way of encouraging our youths in engaging themselves in something lucrative in future.”This will benefit them in future. They need something that will keep them busy in order not to participate in illicit acts like armed robbery, prostitution and others, he said. However the organizers are still waiting for response from Oceanic Bank Plc but it only Diamond bank that has shown interest in the programme, as Star track gathered.

 

Olu Maintain Drops New Single

 The Yahoozee crooner, Olu Maintain arrived Nigeria penultimate week from Queen’s land is not really the news but the major news is about his new efforts.
Thank God he arrived well, but what discourage his fans was the news which recently published that one of his back up singers-Bondo- was arrested at the airport for for illifit act. He denied the rumour as false. Olu who will drop another single any moment from now noted “ It is disheartened hearing rumour here and there that my back up singer was arrested. It is not good image for me and my country. I’ve leave everything to God for Judgement.Any way, the reason I have been busy out there is because of my new album. My single will be out any moment from now. I have done Kentro and other track with videos.They were shot in Londond. Infact I don’t want to the Cat out of the bag first. Just keep your finger cross.”

 It is not Apprentice or Intern but called Entrepreneur, the concept that teaches the housemate and viewers how to own a business and succeed. Ecobank has therefore shown interest in the programme. Through the information disclosed by the organizers of the event, it was gathered that at least, 60 lucky Nigerians with small businesses or business ideas would soon have the opportunity to fully own their outfits through free financing. This is being made possible by Africa leading financial brand, Ecobank Nigeria Plc and world's favourite Malt drink, Vita Malt, which have thrown their weight behind The Entrepreneur, a business TV reality programme hitting the screen across the continent any moment from now. The Entrepreneur TV reality show is designed as a platform to invest in innovative social enterprises that will help achieve a positive social impact, alleviating poverty and empowering small businesses. Already, the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) has endorsed The Entrepreneure as key partners. Asa Clears Hip Hop World Awards

 It was fun galore penultimate Saturday at Planet One,
the venue of 2008 Hip Hop World Awards. Celebrities
from all walks of life came out massively to take part
in the hilarious and earth shaking event. The most
surprised and memorable story of the night was seeing
Asa, the famous soul and R & B music star courtesy her
current album, ASA released under Naïve Records in
France won her many awards at the interesting event.
Asa won herself the best recording, best vocal
performance female, Hip Hop revelation and album of
the year awards under review. Her representative who
received the awards on her behalf thanked all the crew
that supported her career. “ It is unfortunate that
Asa is not here at the moment. She would have been in
tears of joy. She gives glory to God and thanked all
Asa supporters. Most especially her producer, Cobhams
who made all the songs in the album interesting”, she
said.
Artistes that also smiled home were D’Banj who won the
best artiste of the year. Olu Maintain Won the best
song of the year. Cobhams won best producer of the
year. Best video director went to D J Tee. Best raggae
dance hall artiste went to Timaya, Mode 9 won the best
rap album of the year. D J Jimmy Jat won the best
collabo of the year. Best rap single went to MI. Best
vocal performance went to 9ice. Wande Coal won the
next rated artiste of the year with a Toyota Camry.
African of the year went to Batman Samini of Ghana.
Ruggedman therefore won best lyricist on the roll
award of the year. Olisa Adibua won all of fame awards
with Obi Asika of storm records. Eye witness reported
that the event was sponsored by MTN.

 

Star Vicky Floats Voice Foundation, Enlists Tony Okoroji

 Multiple talented uprising musical star, Star Vicky,
is out with a foundation. Star track gathered that the
foundation, which is christened Voice Foundation, is
aimed at helping the youths of Nigeria who are
talented in the areas of entertainment, sports, music,
writing, acting and fashion. “The overall aim is to
combat social ills by engaging youths in activities
that take their mind away from crime and other social
menace plaguing our society,” Vicky told Star track.
Former president of Performing Musicians Association
of Nigeria (PMAN) , Tony Okoroji and some other top
shots in the Nigerian music industry, form the patrons
of Voice Foundation, while Mrs. C. I. Sogbanmu is the
chairperson.
