M C Loph in trouble over Osita Osadebe’s song
---EMI Records charges him to court

Late Osita Osadebe will everyday be remembered for his good works. Music lovers will never forget him courtesy his hit song that both brought him to lime light and earn him fame all over Africa, Osondu Owendi. The man that sang the song is late no doubt. But the news is, the man that remixed the song has been charge for plagiarism.
Sources revealed that he composed Osita Osadebe’s hit song without proper permission to remix it from the deceased record label, EMI Records before the remix. MC Loph has been issued a court letter to answer why he was involved in plagiarism and copyright mess. Although, he is still pleading to EMI Records in order to withdraw the case out of court because according to him he is not guilty for the fact that he has asked his friend who was the late Osita son to permit him remix the song before it finally out. The Son who also died last year though as information gathered gave him permission to remix the song but it was not legally binding.
More so, EMI Records crew were of the opinion that it is accepted that Osita’s son gave him the permission, but he should have asked if he is the original copyright owner of the song before he did remix of the song.
EMI kicked against his motion that he deliberately did it for the fact that he is a learned musician and he understands the process of copyright.
“Why would he go to Osita’s son seeking for permission before he remixed the song when he understand that he needs to seek the permission of the record label”, EMI who proved anonymous quarried .
MC Loph, who has performed at major shows which earned him millions of naira courtesy the remix song never wants to comment on this issue when we asked him to comment on this issue.
“I have asked for permission from Osita Osadebe’s son before I did the remix, so I don’t see why people should hold this against me”, MC Loph said.
The court proceeding is still going on according to Global Excellence findings.
MC Loph came into lime light through this song last year.It featured Flavor another artiste reinging in the eastern part of the country.
