club. According to the manager of the club, Frank, “We
are hosting most especially X-Project. Their song is
very hot right now. X-Project new album is the toast
of every club houses in the country at the moment. It
will be our honour to host them. Therefore, Sam
Kargbo, the Chief Executive Officer of the musical
label that signed X-Project revealed that X-Project
will use the platform to unveil their videos that are
selling like hot cake in the market. X-Project fans

9ice Signs Million naira Deal with Afrobest

single, Jongo Aso, which is making waves on the radio
stations, club houses, events arena and other places
at the moment has put pen to paper to release his
second album. The young entrepreneur signed four
million naira marketing deal with the foremost music
marketer in the country, Arfobest. Star track
information revealed that penultimate week the
talented artiste stormed Afrobest office at Ojo ,
Alaba, Lagos to receive his money. He however dropped
his master C D that will see the marketer selling the
yet to release album for two years. Sources added that
in couple of weeks now the much awaiting album will
storm the market if the information reaching us is
anything to go by. Afrobest on the other hand, as we
learnt, was very elated to sign marketing deal with
the versatile and former Lagos State graduate who
featured in Ruggedman, 2 Short album before he dropped
his maiden effort. Findings as well added that
Afrobest was the backbone behind Olu Maintain’s, solo
album’ Maintain Reloaded that sold millions copies
according to findings.

Ruggedman Tops Hip Hop Awards Lists

have made Nigerians proud. No doubt, they have
actually uplifted the Green White Green colour, as
brand on the local and international music scene.
Therefore, Micheal Ugochukwu, who is well known as
Ruggedman will be looking forward to bag awards at
this weekend Hip Hop awards which will be held at the
prestigious events place, Planet One, Maryland, Ikeja,
Lagos. The most controversial Nigerian and
international rap star artiste will be expecting
awards from these categories: Best Collabo of the Year
where he featured 9ice in the single named, Ruggedy
Baba. Best Lyrics on Roll of the Year, and Best Rap
Album of the Year. “I wish to win many awards. As an
artiste, it motivates you to come up with innovative
ideas that will sell your album and Nigeria at large
at the international level. I’m happy no doubt”, he
stated. “Kudos needs to also go to the producer, I D
Cabasa who did a great work on the songs. I’m very
optimistic that the Hip Hop 2008 edition will be a
memorable one for me and my fans”

that the most wanted musician by the Alabans,
(Nigerian music marketers) is Faya Bouta.
This is another dance hall sensation that is ruling
the showbiz as a result of his three singles he
dropped on the air for promotion.
Charles Umho, a.k.a. Faya who is an indigene of Akwa
Ibom State is wanted at the moment in case you see
him. His is topping the musical chart on radio
stations.
Faya who was formerly with Zu-Clan in Ivory Coast did
his first album with the musical group. He has worked
with the award winning Makosa singer, Koffi Olomide
and African Reggae star, Alpha Bludy in Paris and
Marselle France. He hopes to drop the awaiting album
in April.

L K T Promotes Single

of Yahoozee he featured with Olu Maintain in his
current album.
After he returned from the Queen’s land, his
relationship with Olu Maintain has not been cordial.
Star track findings reveal that it was due to the
allegation that he was abandoned by his colleague, Olu
when they all went to perform at a carnival in the
United Kingdom late last year. It caused lots of set
back to his career. Olu disowned him instantly that
all he said was not true.
He has therefore put this behind himself and set to
drop his maiden single. Listening to the song in the
studio along side his producer, Puffy T, It is obvious
that the said coming album, this year will rule the
market according to him.
Watch out for the sonorous voice, LKT , who sings the
Fuji version in Yahoozee, Olu Maintain first hit after

are not respected. Time to be rewarded has come
courtesy Sola Olugbemiro, the former manager of Goddis
and Bar Restaurant.
Writers who have be consistent in the entertainment,
marketing, brands, politics, motoring, crime and what
have you beats will be rewarded 23 March, 2008 at Page
Nite Club, Ikeja.
Nominees will be roll out very soon according to the
organizers of the event. Corporate bodies are implored
to support the event in order to be colourful.
This event aims to follow Wole Soyinka Investigative
Awards for journalists in Nigeria which has been in
the lime light for almost five years, as the
organizers added. In case you don’t know, your
Marketing &Management Magazine (M2) won the best
Marketing Journal of the Year, 2007. The event was
held at Goddis Restaurant & Bar at Oregun, Ikeja.
