Koffi Brand
Well, according to branding factors, the brand is a very comical, versatile, creative and talented brand, Koffi Idowu Nuel. He was born March 1977.I was born into a very humble family. My parents are Civil Servants first schooled at Ajao Nursery School,Victoria Island. I later continued at Kuramo Primary School and Molosi College in Ijebu Igbo, Ogun State.
Thereafter, I finished my tertiary education at the University of Lagos. I’m a master of ceremonies. I’m a perfect comic compare artiste. I write stage scripts,movie and songs for people. I’m a producer. I just finished producing my own movie. Parts of my brand are movie directing and musical video. Koffi is as well an event organizer. I organized Burstin Loose, the comedy show that was held recently.
Entertainment Calling
Showbiz come to me as a joyful thing and a part of me that I couldn’t do without. I studied Chemistry but most of the time in school, I was always in rehearsal.However, the showbiz just run into my blood. I later discovered that this is my way. I realized that it is my initial calling but I just have to go through school. School is just to educate yourself not that the talent must be there. I went to school in discovering myself discovered my self before school as over.
Koffi Marketing Strategy
I came into the limelight officially in 2003.Before then; I’ve been doing stage plays. I started as stage actor. Some of our events are directed to small target audience at the Musonn Center. Gradually, I was able to fit into television. I appeared as a comedian in a television series. I noticed that the brand started catching attention. People love the brands as a comedian. The role I was instructed to play: Dauda.The next day, people would be singing the song I sing.I later came into conclusion that people already know
with comic, but how can I prove myself and sell it to the world? I then went to do my debut album. I did my first song. I sing comedy songs. Initially, I’m a hip-hop person. But at that time, Nigerians have not really appreciated hip-hop. They need something homely. The hip-hop market is not there, except you want to frustrate yourself. I then did grassroots song. The song that would cut across every Nigerian. I experiment with my first album Mumu, Aroma and host of others like that I order to get the attention of the
audience. Believe me, it worked. People started appreciating me. Before, I usually do corporate jobs,But in town, most people would not see me in a
corporate setting. The reason is, it is a selected audience. It took time to break into the market. I Just want to show Nigerians that I’m that versatile.
Brand Extension
I do comedy. I as well sing. But I’m not a musician. I love to sing my own song. Parts of my brand extension are also event management. I’ve done many events. Burstin Loose Concept Bootin Loose has been my idea which I’ve planned to launch into the market since. The idea is to come all
out. It is just to tell the whole world what I’m all about .I’m happy the event went well as planned .To God be the glory. I could have done this two years
ago. But everybody had a comedy show; I didn’t want to do the same thing. I want to do something a bit different. So, I had to work on my present album
“Abinibility”, once the audience come to the show,there’s something extra they get, instead of normal jokes. The event is launching off my second album,showing people how versatile I am. For the first time, people saw a comedy concert.
