Eedris Abdulkareem is A World Brand With 50 Cent Collaboration
The king is back according to Eedris Abdulkareem. He has been under ground since his face off with 50 Cent. He did collaboration with the American rap star and performs together at the official launch of current KORA awards in Abuja recently. Tijani Adegbola had a chat with the Nigeria rap star on his brand resurrection and his currently released album.

The name is an inspiration from God Almighty. It emanated from Allah Kareem. It means God, it is your own according to Islam. As far as I’m concerned, it is my record label. It is a consulting company. It has clothing line. It has NGO. The company also handles other projects which we do not want to unveil now. That is what my entertainment company is for.

Let me tell you something. Eedris Abdulkareem is a brand. Either you like or not, I’m an Olympic touch bearer. People know me as a musician. What Eedris does is, to be able to use music as a tool to solve many problems that are facing Nigeria, Africa. At the same time, Eedris as a brand sells products to the world. Just ask yourself, who is Eedris? He is somebody who believes in himself. He is somebody who is very passionate about what he does. He is somebody who is very determining in order to get to the top. If you have all these attributes as person, you can achieve your dream in life. On the other hand, he is a person from nothing to become something. How did he become a brand? It is simply because his song has added value to many lives. 20 million Nigerian youths have nominated him to represent them at the Olympics. The president of this country endorsed Eedris Abdulkareem by coming up on the national television to insult and abuse his parents to say your Mama and Papa Jaga Jaga. Everybody from there knows who Eedris Abdulkareem his. I’m a brand. What I’m doing right now that he did not do before. It is bringing all the necessary business aspects of Lakreem Entertainment from consultancy and bringing foreign investors to the country. It is also adding colour to people. I’m bringing up coming artistes to the label. Also he is supporting and recording positive songs for United Nations and Africa as a continent.
Effectiveness of Eedris With New Album
Lastman standing is another step of Eedris Abdulkareem. It means that his brand is efficient, strong and reliable. You can not call Eedris Abdulkareem on phone now to say start coming to V. I. for a show. Currently, you have to go to our office in order to discuss with my management. That’s the new standard. You need to get a form which contains our principles and protocols of what we want in term of logistics before the show. Everything is not about money really. But the way you threat your people is very important. Eedris should have done that long time ago. He couldn’t because he was fighting for lots things that needed to be put in place . Now, we are brand. The king is back. The Lastman Standing has dropped. If you listen to the album, you find out that we have a project song; Peace in Niger Delta. We have millennium development Gold, HIV project, Police reformation and others. Basically, my songs are not products you would just hear and dump some where. The next day you would still see us on television. I’m happy that I’m a brand which is championing this course.
Coming Back
My coming back is for good. I’ve fought for the up coming musicians. That is why lots of people respect Nigerian musicians. Nobody was listening to Nigerian hip-hop music before, today that has change. 50 Cent came to this town, I said you must give a Nigerian artiste whatever you are giving an international artiste. Is that idea bad? Our People still need to think well. This is modern day colonization for God sake. Therefore, I’ve fought for the up coming artistes as a result of what most of them enjoy today. In fact, that is why there are more attention in Nigerian music industry. People like P-Square , D’Banj, 2Face, Olu Maintain are going to places to make much money. So, what you do in life is not all about today, it’s all about tomorrow. Now that Lakreem is back, we are ready to teach the so called veteran in the industry what they’ve not done right.
50 Cent/ Eedris Collaboration
That I wouldn’t tell you All I can tell you is that I had problem with 50 Cent. Many people say I will not make it again. They said you can’t fight a multinational company , then survive. I also had problem with the government. Who are you as a multinational company , who don’t respect your own product. We are all together . We need to fight for the industry for the benefit of your children, family who are coming to take over the game in entertainment when we are not there again. For me and 50 Cent, I would say it’s the best thing that would ever happened to my musical career. When the organizers of KORA awards said he was performing along side Eedris Abdulkareem, he said that guy? Is he an artiste? They didn’t tell us he was an artiste! They only told us he was a worker in the plane. That is when people got to know that our people lied to 50 Cent. It is disheartening at times. When you discovered it’s our people that sell us cheap. It is happening in the government, every multinational organizations, individual organizations. My message is change your attitude my brother. So, 50 Cent said he likes to listen to his songs. When he listened to it , he said it’s beautiful and he will come to Nigeria . When he came we performed on stage together. Everybody was amazed that is Eedris Abdulkareem and 50 Cent. Even the multinational would be surprise as well because there was not any promotion about the show. It simply means that when you do your own thing God is doing his own. You can’t stop a shining star. There are so many things you will know, I do not want to say much about that. My fans should just watch out.
S M V A Awards Endorsement
As far as I’m concerned, Soundcity Music Video Awards is like America Music Awards. It’s the only awards I respect for now. The reason is the organizers did not discriminate. They did not say we have been playing your song. We have been doing you favour , you must come to beg for our award. They respected the artistes. For God sake, we all live in Lagos. But our welfare is extremely packaged well. They gave all the artistes that performed on that day rooms. Even that is only what they have; it is understanding that these guys know what they are doing. These guys should be given support. There are several awards in Nigeria. For me , I do not recorgnise them. I’m sorry to say that. How come the organizers would not recognize the pioneer of hip-hop musicians in the country. It is bad. Soundcity is my number one awards.
Eedris Abdulkareem Deal With Afrobest
He is my marketer. He is the new sharp in the industry at the moment. People should watch out for that guy. Anywhere I’m going, he must come along with me. From the presidency, government parastatals, the reason is he’s the only guy in Alaba that is very transparent. The other marketers are very lazy. He has come out boldly to declare that he’s no more interested in illicit work. He has registered his company. He has started paying tax. He does not want to pirate anymore and he wants to work with the best. As far as I’m concerned, I think it is an opportunity to take somebody like that that is in Alaba. Who knows what the deal is all about to the presidency so when there is any important deal that has to do with the music industry in Nigeria, I think he should be one of the top five that will be there. This marketing scene is very lucky to have this guy. He is very intelligent, focus, determines, and has foresight for great things to come ahead.
