Kay International Promotions, (KIP) Entertainment has agreed to partner Artquake , the famous and talented
Afro hip – hop stars, Ice k and Adex, on their new album , ARTWORK that hits the shelves in September ,2007.Otunba Olakunle Azzeez, the C. E. O. of KIP journey into showbiz started in August 2005 when he powered a talent hunt programme in Lagos and Federal Capital Territory, Abuja respectively. The programme was titled: “Discovering Upcoming Talent Initiative (D.U.T.I.) , which brought  him to the limelight.In October 2005, Otunba Kay as he is fondly called,whose head office and recording studio with state of-the- art located in FCT, Abuja used DUTI to signed four talented upcoming artistes on the label. The procedure then was artistes were informed through print and electronic media to submit their demo CDs containing two tracks and the totals of 156 CDs were submitted. Four artistes were thoroughly screened and short listed by D Js and some showbiz experts in Nigeria. They eventually emerged the winners of the talent hunt.Mid last year, KIP signed on the artistes. The fortunate artistes were Captain, M-Lake, J-K and Maffyozo.

 

Captain, a versatile reggae artiste whose brand of music cuts across all ages, released his debuted album, Bon Dem last week on the stable Fryo Music Enterprises of Alaba International Market. M-Lake , a R&B singer of outstanding performance who sets to explode as  his maiden album billed to storm
\r\nmarket in October, 2007.J.K, on the other hand, an Afro pop artiste of
\r\ndistinct performance whose style is curved with Afrocentric fusion is still putting finishing touches to his album that will be unleashed before the end of November.

Maffyzo , a rapper with  innovative lyrical expression who is quite notable in the duet with Eedris Abdulkareem “ Oko Asewo”, is in the pipeline.  His
\r\nalbum will be released in December 2007.Therefore, early 2007, KIP Entertainment went into partnership with Artquake considering their exposureand creative experience in the Nigerian music industry
\r\nfor almost a decade. The duo, Adex and Ice k were given chance to handle the production of the label,overseeing all the musical works of all the artistes on the label his audio and visual due to their experience.

“Bringing in Artquake to handle production managementis a dream comes true for me. They have been parts ofthe success of KIP Entertainment from the unset. In fact, they play major role in a great deal. These are artistes that are very versatile in the country currently but Nigerians have not really given them the attention they need. They are both efficient in signing and production”, Otunba Olakunle Azeez said.

 

Artquake that quits Little Fish Records has set aside 24th August 2007, for their coming album listening party for numerous fans and the media.
Artquake will entertain the crowd along side top Nigerian artistes.
